Prosecutor on mission to Kigali

Mechanism Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will visit Kigali from 15 to 16 November, as part of preparations for his regular biannual report to the UN Security Council.

The Prosecutor will meet with Minister of Justice Johnston Busingye and representatives from the Prosecutor General’s Office to discuss the search for the remaining ICTR fugitives, cooperation between Rwandan authorities and the Office of the Prosecutor, the Turinabo et al. contempt proceedings and other issues of mutual interest.

It is expected that Prosecutor Brammertz will present his next report to the UN Security Council on 11 December 2018.
