Internships in the Human Resources Section

The Human Resources Section is responsible for ensuring that the staffing, staff administration and related conditions of service of staff meet the requirements of the court and prosecution mandate of the Tribunal within the requirements of United Nations Staff Rules and Regulations, policies and procedures.
An intern in Human Resources can fulfill many roles in the HR department. Working directly under the supervision of a manager an HR intern's duties may include:
- Posting vacancy announcements;
- Reviewing job applications;
- Assisting in induction briefings;
- Processing checkouts;
- Completing administrative tasks; and
- Assisting in collating information and drafting reports.
Internship Description
As an intern in Human Resources, you will participate fully in day-to-day activities. Such duties could include:
- Drafting correspondence; Preparing memoranda;
- Acting as a focal point for all internal and external enquiries regarding internships;
- Providing induction briefing to new interns; processing check-outs and updating databases; and
- Maintaining current file and databases.
In addition interns are invited to attend lectures and other activities that have particular relevance to the work of the Mechanism.

To be a successful internship candidate in Human Resources, you should have:
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills;
- Demonstrated research, analytical and drafting skills; and
- A keen interest in customer service and client orientation.
Fluency in oral and written English is required.
