MIP hosts one-week study visit for historians of the ‘90s Museum from Serbia

The Mechanism Information Programme for Affected Communities (MIP) welcomed two historians, Ms. Sanja Radović from Serbia and Mr. Filip Kuzman from Montenegro, representing the Museum of the ‘90s from Serbia. The ‘90s Museum is scheduled to open its doors in 2025, with the pilot project exhibition "Labyrinth of the Nineties" already launched in 2023. This exhibition is set to tour countries across the region in 2024.

MIP holds annual coordination workshop with EUROCLIO and national associations of history educators from the former Yugoslavia

On 6 April 2024, the Mechanism Information Programme for Affected Communities (MIP) organised an online workshop for members of the European Association of History Teachers (EUROCLIO) and representatives of associations of history educators from countries of the former Yugoslavia. Led by MIP youth outreach coordinator, Ms. Anisa Sućeska, the workshop aimed to provide a platform for consultation and planning of joint MIP/EUROCLIO activities for the 2024-2026 period.

IRMCT Principals commemorate 30 years since the start of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, 7 April 2024

On the occasion of the International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda and Kwibuka30, the Principals of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (Mechanism), President Graciela Gatti Santana, Prosecutor Serge Brammertz and Registrar Abubacarr M. Tambadou, issued the following statement:

Mechanism Principals on mission to Kigali for the 30th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda

In the course of the first week of April 2024, the three Principals of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (Mechanism), President Graciela Gatti Santana, Prosecutor Serge Brammertz and Registrar Abubacarr M. Tambadou, are visiting the Republic of Rwanda (Rwanda).

Prosecutor Brammertz concludes official visit to Mozambique

Prosecutor Serge Brammertz has successfully completed an official visit to Mozambique, a member of the Security Council.

While in Maputo, Prosecutor Brammertz met with the Vice-Attorney General, Dr. Alberto Paulo, to thank his office for its effective cooperation in the tracking of fugitive Fulgence Kayishema, who was arrested in neighbouring South Africa in 2023.

Prosecutor Brammertz also met with the UN country team and participated in a capacity building seminar for local prosecutors.
